The little used £2 Kangaroo was in service the longest. It survived a total of 37 years, being officially replaced by the £2 Arms of 1950. The other bi-coloured denominations had been replaced in 1938 on introduction of the ‘robes’ series. The value was originally designed in error of a ‘half crown’ value, or 2/6d.
