Watermarked paper, specific to the Kangaroos, became available again in mid 1915. The design had however undergone some changes. The design being thinner.

The marginal watermark inscriptions was as before. The paper was in use to 1926, and also used for certain of the postage due stamps.

Particularly thin paper is known in the 2½d and 2/- values. Very highly surfaced paper (1918), used for various values, particularly in the 2d and 6d values. The final printing of the 2d in September, 1920, was made on a pure "milk white" paper of very smooth texture, showing no sign of toning.
