A simple Icon that visualises the unique characteristics of the electro
pair.
Standard 2 plate means two vertical
electros, printed and perforated together with monograms CA/JBC appearing only on the
lower electro, inserted below the 3rd stamp of left and right panes (see intro for full illustration) The number indicates the
die used. |
 |
Reversed 2 plate is
an identical creature to standard 2 plate, except the monograms (JBC/CA) were in reverse
positions on the lower electro. This distinction is sometimes helpful in distinguishing
different electros of the same value. |
 |
Standard inserted Monos

These
always appeared in the upper electro in CA/JBC order as per the standard lower electro.
They were inserted by cutting away of the jubilee line and consequently can always be
differentiated as such.
Their timing coincided with the demise of the emergency KGV watermarked paper and as a
consequence some denominations appear initially on this paper, or, more commonly, at the
introduction of the new 3rd watermark |
