Prepared for use in booklets but issued only in sheets.

Booklet sheets were printed in 1951 but a postal increase to 3½d killed the issue. Subsequently, 91,617 sheets were placed on sale at post offices in October 1951.

This sheet layout illustrates the 576 on master plate of 288 left and right panes. The resulting large pane was subsequently guillotined in half to provide a convenient post office sheet.

10mm separates each group of 48 panels. This gutter is very thin (approx 5mm) at top or bottom of respective post office sheets depending on its position as bottom or top of the respective print sheet.
